1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how PartywitMe (“PartywitMe,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website, use our mobile applications, or otherwise access the Service.

This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. It provides more detail about the technologies described in the Privacy Policy.

By continuing to use the Service after being presented with our cookie banner (where required), or by adjusting your browser or device settings, you acknowledge how we use cookies as described in this policy.

2. Who We Are & How to Contact Us

Legal entity: Partywitme

Email: support@saltechapps.com

If you have questions about this Cookie Policy or how to manage your cookie preferences, contact us using the details above.

3. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit a website or use certain app features. They help PartywitMe function efficiently, remember your preferences, and keep your experience consistent across sessions.

Cookies may be:

  • Session cookies: temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser or app; or
  • Persistent cookies: cookies that remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.

Cookies set by PartywitMe are first-party cookies. Cookies set by our partners (such as analytics or payment providers) are third-party cookies (see Section 7).

4. Similar Technologies We Use

In addition to cookies, we may use similar technologies, including:

  • Local storage and session storage: to remember in-app settings and save progress (for example, in the “30-Second Event Creator” form);
  • Session tokens: to keep you signed in securely;
  • Device identifiers and SDK storage (mobile apps): to maintain app sessions and deliver notifications where enabled; and
  • Pixels and analytics tags: to understand how the Service is used and measure performance.

References to “cookies” in this policy include these similar technologies unless we state otherwise.

5. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • authenticate you and keep your account secure;
  • enable core features such as the Organizer Dashboard, ticket check-in, and event management;
  • remember your preferences (such as your city) so feeds like “What’s Happening Now” show relevant events;
  • save your progress while creating events;
  • understand how users interact with Events (for example, views versus ticket purchases);
  • improve performance, reliability, and security; and
  • support payment processing through trusted third-party providers.

We categorize cookies into three types, described in Section 6.

6.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

Purpose: Authentication and security.

Function: These cookies are essential for the Service to work. They allow you to:

  • log in and stay signed in securely;
  • access and manage your Organizer Dashboard;
  • purchase, receive, and validate Tickets;
  • prevent fraudulent activity, including unauthorized Join Requests; and
  • maintain session integrity and protect against abuse.

Consent: These cookies do not require consent under most privacy laws because the Service cannot function properly without them.

Examples of use:

FeatureWhy it is necessary
Account loginVerifies your identity and maintains your session
Organizer DashboardEnables event creation, guest management, and payouts
Ticket check-inSupports entry validation at Events
Security & fraud preventionHelps detect suspicious login or join activity

If you block strictly necessary cookies through your browser, certain parts of PartywitMe — including ticket check-in and account access — may not work correctly.

6.2 Functional & Preference Cookies

Purpose: Personalization and convenience.

Function: These cookies remember choices you make so the Service feels tailored to you. They may:

  • remember your city or region (for example, Lagos, London, or NYC) so your “What’s Happening Now” feed shows relevant nearby events;
  • save language, display, or notification preferences;
  • retain your progress in the “30-Second Event Creator” form so you do not lose work if you navigate away; and
  • remember settings you apply to Event discovery and browsing.

Consent: Where required by law (including for users in the EU, UK, and California), we will not activate functional and preference cookies until you explicitly click “Accept” on our cookie banner or otherwise opt in through your cookie settings.

6.3 Analytics & Performance Cookies

Purpose: Growth and improvement.

Function: These cookies help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. They may:

  • measure how many people view an Event versus how many purchase a Ticket;
  • track feature usage, page load performance, and error rates;
  • generate aggregated, statistical reports about platform usage; and
  • help us test and improve new features.

Where possible, analytics data is aggregated and used in a way that does not directly identify you. Some analytics providers may assign a pseudonymous identifier to your browser or device.

Consent: Where required by law, we will not fire analytics and performance cookies until you explicitly accept non-essential cookies through our cookie banner or preference center.

7. Third-Party Cookies

We may allow trusted third parties to set cookies or use similar technologies when you use the Service. These partners help us operate, secure, and improve PartywitMe.

Common categories include:

Provider typeExamplesPurpose
AnalyticsGoogle Analytics (or similar tools)Understand usage patterns, measure Event views and conversions, and improve performance
Payment processingStripe (where available)Process ticket payments securely, prevent fraud, and complete checkout
Infrastructure & performanceHosting and CDN providersDeliver content reliably and monitor uptime
CommunicationEmail and SMS delivery partnersSend transactional messages related to Events and accounts

These third parties may set their own cookies subject to their privacy policies. We do not control how third parties use cookies once set, but we require service providers to handle data in accordance with our agreements and applicable law.

For more information about how we share personal information with service providers, see our Privacy Policy.

8. Your Choices (Opt-In & Opt-Out)

EU, UK, and California users: In compliance with global privacy laws, we will not activate non-essential cookies (Functional & Preference and Analytics & Performance) until you explicitly click “Accept” on our cookie banner or enable those categories in our cookie preference center.

You can:

  • Accept all cookies — enable strictly necessary, functional, and analytics cookies;
  • Reject non-essential cookies — allow only strictly necessary cookies; or
  • Customize your choices — enable or disable functional and analytics cookies separately where available.

You may change your preferences at any time through the cookie settings link in the Service footer or app settings (where available).

8.2 Browser Settings

Most web browsers let you block, delete, or manage cookies through their settings. You can typically:

  • view cookies stored on your device;
  • block all or third-party cookies;
  • delete cookies when you close your browser; and
  • browse in “private” or “incognito” mode.

Please note that blocking or deleting cookies — especially strictly necessary cookies — may cause certain parts of PartywitMe to stop working correctly, including:

  • staying signed in;
  • accessing the Organizer Dashboard;
  • completing ticket purchases; and
  • using ticket check-in at Events.

8.3 Mobile App Settings

If you use our mobile app, you can manage certain permissions (such as notifications and location) in your device settings. App-specific storage used for sessions and preferences is governed by this policy and our Privacy Policy.

8.4 Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control

Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals. There is no uniform industry standard for responding to DNT. Where required by law, we honor applicable opt-out signals, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), for non-essential cookies and similar technologies.

If you previously accepted non-essential cookies, you may withdraw consent at any time by updating your preferences in our cookie banner or preference center, or by clearing cookies through your browser. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

How long a cookie remains on your device depends on whether it is a session or persistent cookie and its purpose.

Cookie categoryTypical retention
Strictly necessarySession duration or up to 12 months for security-related cookies
Functional & preferenceUp to 12 months, or until you clear cookies or update preferences
Analytics & performanceUp to 24 months, depending on the analytics provider’s settings
Third-party payment cookiesAs determined by Stripe, or other payment partners for fraud prevention and checkout

We review cookie retention periods periodically and adjust them as needed for security, functionality, and legal compliance.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, our practices, or applicable law.

If we make material changes, we will notify you by email, in-app notice, cookie banner, or other reasonable means at least 30 days before the changes take effect, unless a shorter period is required by law or necessary for security or operational reasons.

The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when this Cookie Policy was last revised. Please review this policy periodically.

If you do not agree to an updated Cookie Policy, you may adjust your cookie preferences or stop using the Service.
