1. Introduction

This Refund Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and related payment reversals work when you purchase Tickets or register for Events through PartywitMe (“PartywitMe,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

PartywitMe provides a platform for Organizers to list Events, manage Invitations, and sell or distribute Tickets. We act as a technology facilitator. We do not own, host, or organize Events unless we explicitly state otherwise in writing for a specific Event.

This Refund Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms.

By purchasing a Ticket or registering for an Event through the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Refund Policy.

2. Who We Are & How to Contact Us

Legal entity: partywitme

Email: support@saltechapps.com

For refund-related inquiries, contact us with your order or Ticket details, the Event name, and the reason for your request.

3. Scope of This Policy

This Refund Policy applies to:

  • paid Ticket purchases made through the Service;
  • refund requests arising from Event cancellations, postponements, or material changes; and
  • fees associated with ticket transactions processed through PartywitMe.

This policy does not apply to:

  • purchases made directly with an Organizer outside the Service;
  • disputes about Event quality, safety, or experience (which are between you and the Organizer, subject to applicable law); or
  • payment disputes handled solely between you and your bank or card issuer without going through our support channels first.

4. Our Role as a Platform

4.1 Contract Between Buyer and Organizer

When you purchase a Ticket, you enter into a direct agreement with the Event Organizer, not with PartywitMe. The Organizer is the seller of the Ticket. PartywitMe facilitates payment collection, ticketing, and communication tools but is not a party to your purchase contract except as stated in our Terms.

4.2 Platform Refund Processing

At this time, PartywitMe does not automatically process refunds on behalf of Buyers for every ticket purchase. Ticket sales are generally considered final, unless:

  • the Organizer’s stated refund policy applies;
  • a mandatory refund situation applies (see Section 7);
  • a refund is required by applicable law; or
  • we determine a refund is necessary to address fraud, unauthorized transactions, or a material platform error.

We may provide tools, notifications, or support to help Organizers and Buyers resolve refund requests, but Organizers remain primarily responsible for honoring their policies and applicable legal obligations.

5. Organizer Refund Policies

5.1 Organizer Autonomy

Each Organizer may set their own refund, cancellation, and postponement policy for paid Tickets. That policy should be clearly displayed on the Event page before you complete your purchase.

It is your responsibility to review the Organizer’s policy before paying. If no policy is stated, assume tickets are non-refundable unless a mandatory refund applies or applicable law requires otherwise.

5.2 Organizer Policy Examples

Organizers may choose policies such as:

  • No refunds — all sales final;
  • Full refunds until a specified date before the Event;
  • Partial refunds or credit toward a future Event;
  • Refunds only if the Event is canceled by the Organizer; or
  • Transfer-only — no cash refund, but Tickets may be transferred to another person.

Whatever policy an Organizer publishes, they are responsible for honoring it to the extent required by law.

5.3 Policy at Checkout

All ticket prices, applicable taxes, Processing Fees, and any Platform Fees (if introduced) are shown or disclosed at checkout before you complete your purchase. Review the full checkout summary and the Event page policy before confirming payment.

6. Free, Private & Complimentary Events

6.1 Free Events

For Events where no ticket fee is charged, no payment refund applies because no purchase was made. You may still cancel your RSVP or registration according to the Organizer’s instructions or through the Service where available.

6.2 Private Events

For private Events where a host covers the cost and no ticket fee is charged to attendees, no refund policy applies to attendees because no payment was collected through the Service.

If you received a complimentary or host-funded Ticket, any cancellation or attendance issues should be resolved directly with the Organizer.

6.3 Complimentary Paid Tickets

If an Organizer issues a complimentary Ticket through a paid flow (for example, a zero-price Ticket type with fees waived), refund treatment follows the Organizer’s stated policy and applicable law.

7. Mandatory Refunds

A full refund of the ticket price is mandatory in the following situations, regardless of whether the Organizer’s policy would otherwise restrict refunds — subject to the non-refundable fees described in Section 8 and applicable law:

7.1 Event Canceled by the Organizer

If the Organizer cancels the Event, you are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price you paid through the Service.

7.2 Postponement & Unsuitable New Date

If the Event is postponed and the new date, time, or location is not suitable for you, you are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price if:

  • you notify the Organizer or PartywitMe within the timeframe specified on the Event page or in the postponement notice; or
  • no timeframe is specified, within 14 days of receiving notice of the new date.

If you accept the new date (for example, by keeping your Ticket or confirming attendance), you may no longer be eligible for a refund based on postponement alone.

7.3 Significant Misrepresentation

If the Event is significantly misrepresented compared to what was advertised at the time of purchase, you may be entitled to a full refund. Examples include:

  • a change of city or country without reasonable notice;
  • a fundamental change of venue type (for example, an outdoor festival moved to an unrelated indoor venue without equivalent notice);
  • a material change to the nature of the Event (for example, a advertised headliner or core experience removed without substitution); or
  • pricing, capacity, or access conditions that materially differ from what was disclosed at checkout.

Minor changes (such as room assignments within the same venue, schedule adjustments, or lineup substitutions of similar caliber) may not qualify for a mandatory refund unless required by law or the Organizer chooses to offer one.

7.4 Fraud, Unauthorized Transactions & Platform Errors

We will issue refunds where necessary to address:

  • confirmed fraud or unauthorized transactions;
  • duplicate charges caused by a platform error; or
  • other material technical errors on the PartywitMe platform that prevented proper delivery of a valid Ticket.

8. Non-Refundable Fees

The following fees are generally non-refundable, even when a ticket refund is approved:

8.1 Processing Fees

Payment processing fees charged by our payment partners — including Stripe, Paystack, and Flutterwave (where available) — cover the cost of processing your transaction. These fees are typically not returned on refund because they are incurred at the time of payment.

Stripe currently charges a Processing Fee of US $0.50 per ticket (or as displayed at checkout), plus any additional percentage-based fees depending on payment method, currency, and region.

8.2 Platform Fees

PartywitMe does not currently charge a Platform Fee for ticket sales. If a Platform Fee is introduced in the future, it will be disclosed at checkout. Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase or required by law, Platform Fees may also be non-refundable.

8.3 Taxes

Refunded amounts may exclude taxes that the Organizer is not legally required to return, or that have already been remitted to tax authorities. Tax treatment depends on jurisdiction and the nature of the refund.

8.4 Exception: Platform Technical Error

Processing fees may be refunded if the refund is due to a confirmed technical error on the PartywitMe platform (for example, a duplicate charge or a payment succeeded but no Ticket was issued). Contact support@saltechapps.com with your transaction details.

9. How Refunds Are Processed

9.1 Refund Method

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout whenever possible. We cannot redirect refunds to a different card, account, or person unless required by law or explicitly supported by our payment processor.

9.2 Who Processes the Refund

Depending on the situation:

  • the Organizer may approve and initiate refunds through Service tools or their payment dashboard;
  • PartywitMe may assist with or process refunds for mandatory refund situations, fraud, or platform errors; or
  • your payment provider may handle reversals in chargeback scenarios (see Section 12).

9.3 Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be issued where:

  • the Organizer’s policy provides for partial refunds;
  • only part of an order is eligible (for example, multi-ticket purchases where one Ticket is refunded); or
  • non-refundable fees are deducted from an otherwise approved full ticket refund.

9.4 Ticket Cancellation

When a refund is issued, the associated Ticket is canceled and will no longer be valid for Event entry.

10. Refund Timelines

Refund timing depends on your payment method, payment processor, and bank.

StageTypical timeframe
Refund approved by Organizer or PartywitMe1–5 business days after approval
Payment processor processing5–10 business days
Bank or card issuer posting to your accountUp to 5–10 additional business days

Total estimated time: most refunds appear within 5–14 business days, but international payments or certain payment methods may take longer.

If you have not received an approved refund within 14 business days, contact us at support@saltechapps.com with your order reference.

11. Event Changes, Cancellations & Force Majeure

11.1 Organizer-Led Changes

If an Organizer cancels, postpones, relocates, or materially changes an Event, the Organizer must:

  • promptly notify affected Buyers and Guests through the Service or other reasonable means;
  • communicate refund, transfer, or credit options; and
  • honor their stated policy and applicable law, including mandatory refunds in Section 7.

PartywitMe may send notifications or provide tools to assist but does not assume the Organizer’s refund obligations.

11.2 Force Majeure

Neither PartywitMe nor Organizers are responsible for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, utility failures, labor disputes, or venue closures — except as required by applicable law.

In force majeure situations, refund treatment depends on the Organizer’s stated policy, mandatory legal requirements, and whether the Event is canceled, postponed, or modified. Organizers are encouraged to communicate clearly with attendees in these circumstances.

11.3 Denied Entry

PartywitMe is not responsible for denied entry due to capacity limits, invalid Tickets, security decisions, or changes made by the Organizer. Refund eligibility in these cases depends on the Organizer’s policy and applicable law. Contact the Organizer first; contact us if you believe a platform or payment error occurred.

12. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

A chargeback or payment dispute initiated through your bank or card issuer is not the same as an Organizer-approved refund.

Before initiating a chargeback, we encourage you to:

  1. contact the Organizer regarding the Event and their refund policy;
  2. contact PartywitMe at support@saltechapps.com if you believe a mandatory refund applies or a platform error occurred; and
  3. allow reasonable time for resolution.

If you initiate a chargeback:

  • your Ticket may be canceled pending resolution;
  • your account may be restricted if chargebacks appear fraudulent or abusive; and
  • Organizers may be debited for chargeback fees, reversals, or penalties under our Terms and payment processor rules.

Chargeback outcomes are determined by your payment provider and applicable network rules, not solely by PartywitMe.

13. Global Currency & Exchange Rates

13.1 Original Currency

Refunds are issued in the original currency of purchase. If you paid in Nigerian Naira (NGN), US Dollars (USD), British Pounds (GBP), or another supported currency, your refund will be processed in that same currency wherever possible.

13.2 Exchange Rate Fluctuations

PartywitMe is not responsible for:

  • fluctuations in exchange rates between the time of purchase and the time of refund;
  • foreign transaction fees charged by your bank or card issuer;
  • currency conversion differences applied by your financial institution; or
  • intermediary bank charges on international payments.

The amount you receive in your local account may differ from the original charge due to factors outside our control.

14. Organizer Responsibilities

If you are an Organizer, you agree to:

  • clearly publish your refund, cancellation, and postponement policy on each paid Event page;
  • honor your stated policy and all mandatory refund obligations;
  • promptly notify Buyers and Guests of cancellations, postponements, or material changes;
  • process eligible refunds in a timely manner through Service tools or your payment dashboard;
  • respond to attendee refund inquiries in good faith; and
  • comply with applicable consumer protection and ticketing laws in your jurisdiction.

PartywitMe may delay, withhold, or reverse Organizer payouts where necessary to address refunds, chargebacks, fraud, Event cancellations, or violations of our Terms.

For full Organizer obligations, see our Terms of Service.

15. Changes to This Refund Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, payment partners, or applicable law.

If we make material changes, we will notify you by email, in-app notice, or other reasonable means at least 30 days before the changes take effect, unless a shorter period is required by law or necessary for security or operational reasons.

The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when this Refund Policy was last revised.

Changes will not retroactively alter your legal rights with respect to Ticket purchases completed before the effective date, except where required by law or necessary to address security, fraud, or legal compliance.

If you do not agree to an updated Refund Policy, you should not purchase Tickets through the Service after the effective date.
